Album Poster Design 1 (Boy)

This is a poster that would be used to promote the music album. It follows many of the conventions of typical album advertisement including the artist's name, the album title, image of the album in question and the release date. It also links to the music video linking the album to connect both together, keeping the house style of a hand crafted stop motion animation. Therefore it keep the wooden desk background and references to the hand crafted characters seen in the video. The background however, is faded to a pale colour to prevent the album cover image from blending in and becoming harder to identify.

The font is the same as the album to keep them connected. John Legend's name is found at the top of the poster to increase the idea of his importance, making sure it is one of the first things the target audience can see. The information "includes 'All of Me'" brings forward the knowledge of the main song used to promote the album along with the music video. The information under this is at the bottom making it the last thing the audience sees therefore will be an element they will be able to remember for longer. This appears to be on a small piece of paper from a note book, reminding the audience of the elements used to create the video and makes it more interactive. The font is written in green, allowing it to stand out and be easy to spot and also to link to the male protagonist in the video.

The male protagonist  takes up most of the space, showing the importance to the character, making it less conventional as it does not show a photograph of John Legend himself. The character only shows one side of it symbolising the idea that he needs his other half (the female protagonist) to become whole.
