CD - Draft 2

The second draft of the CD includes the singer's name (John Legend) and the album title "Handcrafted Heart". Legend's name curves around with the shape of the CD disk to provide a more interesting appearance for the target audience, rather than being placed in a straight line, as this convention is dull as it is to be expected, providing a lack of interest. It is placed on the top of the disk to indicate that John Legend has a great importance to the album. The font is the same as it is on the album cover to keep the house style. The white suggests being natural and innocent, while having a black outlines to suggest a darker tone that shows that nothing can truely be perfect. It also appears like an outline for a hand drawn character, linking to the cartoon animation in the music video.

Under the singer's name is the album title which, easily draws in the attention of the audience with it being within a white rectangle, standing out against the blue and green background. This, like Legend's name, is written in the same style as it is for the album cover, once again linking both together into one final product. The white rectangle helps the title to stand out as the title (although it is a lighter shade of blue) would struggle to be seen against a dark blue and green background. The rectangle also represents a slip of paper, linking back to the music video animation and to the title itself "Handcrafted Heart". This idea is developed further, as the paper appears to be stuck onto the disk with two pieces of tape.
