This is the third poster design that takes a different approach to
the previous two designs. This design follows the house style that is an
interactive perspective of the stop motion animation, showing each promotional
piece as a step in the development and production of the video itself.
Therefore, the poster is less conventional.
The same type of font and layout is used
as before:
Singer's name, album title, bonus
information and date a release.
However, this time, the characters don't
take up most of the space. Instead they are smaller and spread out in what may seem
like random places at different angles. This is to promote the idea that the
video is still in production, showing characters spread out on the desk ready
to be animated. The album in the centre, takes up most of the space, showing
the importance of the cover to make it easy to remember for the target
audience. The album appears to be on a white square background representing the
paper used to create the white background in music video. It also draws the eye
to in section of the poster, as the white frames the cover, providing it with
more attention.
I also took a photo of some earphones to
placed then in the corner to point out what the poster is advertising and suggests
that while creating the music video, the creator of the video was listening to
music by the singer in question (John Legend) which is true, as listening to
song would allow for the animation to keep up with the pace of the lyrics.
