This second draft shows the cover with an album title, allowing the target audience to identify this album apart from other existing products by the same singer (John Legend). The title is located under John Legend's name so that it is one of the first things the audience notices, as the title is important information. It is in the same font as the Legend's name to link them together and also link to the curvy cartoon house style. It appears on a white background representing paper which also frames the text, allowing it to stand out better against the brown wood background. The colour also links with the white mask while the blue text symbolizes the sea seen in the video, as well as being pure and natural but also links to the blue found on the characters.
The title itself "Handcrafted
Heart" was chosen for a number of reasons. Firstly, it gives out a clear
message to the audience that the main song is about a loving relationship
between two people, as a heart is traditionally a representation of love. Secondly,
"handcrafted" focuses on the video made with handcrafted characters
in stop motion animation as shown on the cover itself. Thirdly, it suggests
that this love was created between two people who made their relationship
strong.
